Attachable toilet sensor flusher: First finished prototype

So here it is, our very first motion activated toilet flusher prototype!

The whole prototype
The servo motor component
The arduino uno and the PIR motion sensor

This device is intended to be used for cats who are toilet trained (in case you might be wondering why we didn't use a IR sensor or Ultrasonic sensor instead. Although in the future an utrasonic sensor might be used if this prototype doesn't work too well.

For now if the cats go to the toilet the motion sensor picks up their movement, waits about 6 minutes, and then flushes the toilet. Cats usually take way less than 6 minutes to do their needs.

Since the motion sensor picks up a wide range of angle of motion it is place is a strategic place that only detects motion close to the toilet, so people can go into the bathroom to use the water sink and towel.

There's still quite more to go for this prototype to become an actual working and tested device, but it's a good first step!

If you want check out the video of the working prototype here:

Well that's about it for now, hope you liked it! If you did please google + us or drop us a comment, we really appreciate it!
